Women Deserve to Be A Chairman of West Jakarta MUI

Women are encouraged to participate in candidacy of General Chairman of West Jakarta Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

I'm sure and knowing that many ulemas in West Jakarta enthused to be the MUI chairman

West Jakarta MUI is holding 4th Regional Forum that one of the schedules is electing the new chairman.

"I'm sure and knowing that many ulemas in West Jakarta enthused to be the MUI chairman," said Chairman of Jakarta MUI, KH Syarifuddin Abdul Ghoni when he conveyed his speech in the event in ex Kapenko room, the Mayor Office, Tuesday (11/3).

Chairman of West Jakarta MUI Demanded to Be Trustful

He reminded that a leader even a MUI chairman as a leader of ulemas should be able to behave well. As it is not easy thing.

"MUI chairman should also be able to be a good role model for citizens. It's the consequent for being a chairman. So it's inappropriate if the chairman has not woken up at 6 AM," he expressed.

He hopes in the election there will be women nominating themselves, as commonly all this time the chairman was a man.

"There's nothing wrong if women nominate. As long as they're eligible and able to do their duty in responsible and trustful," he hoped.
